To hear my mother tell it, I was born smiling, and have been smiling ever since. Her experience with my birth was that, her water broke, and once she arrived at the hospital, I was born in 15-minutes, no pain. When the doctor arrived shortly after, to deliver me, I greeted him with a big ole BRIGHT SMILE as an infant.

 

It was a phenomenon back then, to see a fully alert baby, smiling ear-to-ear with   delighted to greet her new family, and the parade of hospital staff that flooded the room to lay eyes on the "smiling wonder." My mom said, I had been "marked by God" for something good in life. I think so too...

 

I'm grateful for such a grand entrance, into the world, and for the decades of smiles I've been blessed to share ever since, with people all over the world.
